I am aware of the Hogtunes Tweeter Pod. I was curious if any companies out there would make tweeter replacement speakers that could replace two of the secondary gauges in a batwing. Anyone know of anything?
Bose makes a set w / crossovers, Have them on mine, makes radio crystal clear..they are black with a dome style cover. Dont ask for pictures 'cuz' Im not computer smart.Price was about 225.00 installed.
This isn't anything custom. They are just some Alpine component speakers where I decided to mount them in the vacant holes on my EGS. I believe most aftermarket tweeters will fit in the holes.
Arc audio component speakers have tweeters that will fit also. In fact, Modesto Harley installs the arc system as a dealer install pakage. They put the tweeters where the air temp and oil pressure gauges are. I didnt want to loose any gauges so I surface mounted mine on the inner fairing just below the windsheild on the far right and left side. Some people flush mount them in the inner fairing but than you have to cut the plastic ribs off the back of the fairing that are there for structural strength of the fairing.
That looks great. I have a Standard and hate those blank spaces. That really is a great idea. What a great thread. Thanks to all for the inspiration....
