Question Heated Gloves / Wire Routing

Hello guys and girls

I just installed my Harley heated gloves on my Ultra Classic.

One question i have is where do you guys route the wires inside you jacket?? I tried the wired in-between jacket and vest liner and then down each sleeve but this seems a lil cumbersome with wires in the way. The hook up from the battery i ran up to the front of the seat at the crotch.
This just seems like a bit of a pain. But is this what everyone else is doing??

I did throw away the instructions long time ago.

Thanks in advance.
Aaron.

+1! I can't imagine riding in the cold without my jacket liner and gloves.

My left glove quit heating a few weeks ago, so I am about to send the gloves back to Gerbings for warranty. I have been waiting until I know I won't need the heavy gloves...

Beeracuda.....

Same thing with my gloves. The left one just stopped working. The weather is changing here in NJ, but I miss the crap out of those gloves. Gerbings folks said it would take one week to fix. It has been a long four days already. I rode this morning with some HD heavy gauntlet gloves this morning...not the same.

I used tyraps to hold the cords inside my jacket during the cold winter months. I also used some string to tie the end of the cords to the gloves so that I could pull the glove to retrieve the cord running through the arm of my jacket when they disconnected. This made it easier for me. When I took the jacket off, the gloves stayed connected via the string.

Laugh if you want, but I rode over 90% of the winter. I love that heated gear.

Ride safe...

Fortunately, the worst is over for us. I have ridden to work (over 20 miles) in the teens and have arrived nice and toasty, thanks to my Gerbings. I am thinking about the heated boot liners for the long Monday (100 mile) trips to work. That would make it even more comfortable. It was on the Monday morning ride that it went out. It made for a cold ride to work...

I put on the gloves with the wires attached first and then put on my jacket. I have the pig tail coming out of the left rear side of the seat. I changed the length of the wires by making a loop and taping it with electrical tape. Hopefully by next winter I will have the jacket liner which will make it a lot easier.

I have the HD gloves and thermostate and have tried all kinds of combos. Now I grab a wire in each hand put my coat on and hook the thermostate to my jacket pocket or pants pocket, tuck the extra wire inside my coat and go. My power cord is under my seat on the left side so I can get off the bike and unhook it with ease. The only perfect way is to have the HD vest or jacket and a dual thermostate.

+2 Left glove stopped working.... got a new pair from Gerbing... took a little over 2 weeks, but was in the dead of winter (I have a pair of Gerbings Textile heated gloves, I store on wife's bike that I used)

Per the OP:
I just grabbed the end of the harness in each hand, and connected the gloves. then pluged the other end into the controller (no controller, made my hands burn up), then controller to pigtail.

then I got religion, and bought the jacket liner (gloves get power from the sleeves) and then I bought the overpants which also plug into the liner.

I'm one toasty cowboy.

BTW: I ran my cable out under the seat at first , then the crotch of the seat, then through the backrest split, now it's back to the seat crotch...lots of options, and each have advantages
