Default J&S Jack vs. Pitbull

My CFO finally allocated me a nice size budget to purchase a jack. My dilemma is, now, which one to purchase. I have been reading as much as I can about these two jacks and am at my wits end to decide on one.

Therefore, my friends, I ask for your help. These are my key points in purchasing a jack

My bike is a 2008 Road King. I plan on self-wrenching as much as possible. Stability, as with everyone, is a major concern. I plan on using the jack to store my bike on when not riding. I know many have the Sears "Red" Jack and Harbor Freight versions and are very happy with them, but I am going to decide only between the J&S and the Pitbull.

So, if you can help me, please tell me what you all think are the benefits of both of them. I really appreciate your input and look forward to both the negatives and positives of both companies.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have the pitbull. Friend has the j&s. Only big difference is the pitbull goes up higher about 6-7 inches.as you know, the pitbull is more expensive. Now that I've used both, I would buy j&s if I had to do it again. But I won't have to do it again because the pitbull will probably outlive me.

there is a search function, this same topic has been argued over and over PIT BULL wins hands down, larger wheels, larger more stable base. more grease fittings, lifts bike higher. in this case you get what you pay for

I have a J&S jack. If I were to do it over again, I would get the Pitbull. Don't get me wrong...the J&s jack is a quality jack...with the exception of the bottle. I'm on my third bottle now. Soon my warranty will run out. If, after that point, the bottle starts leaking, or not fully raising, I'll have to pay for replacement bottles. The previous bottles took a while before they started malfunctioning, so that is a concern for me. J&S does have great customer service. They always send a new bottle right when you tell them about it. But, by that time, I've had to delay the project I was working on for a week until the replacement bottle arrives.
