I went with a retro theme on my bike. Some like it some don't - but I like 'em. H-D offers several retro style emblems check them out. But beware, these things take allot of massaging to make them fit. They come flat but our tanks have NO flat surfaces on them.
I saw your bike awhile back and thought to myself thats a nice Vstar... lol JK
Truthfully...looks way better with an emblem of some sort...otherwise to me it looks like a metric bike trying to look like a harley...

Like the emblem look myself............Check into a quality painter, pick out an emblem or design you like and have the painter air brush it on and clear it. A quality painter can make an painted emblem look 3D and you don't have to worry about cleaning around it. Come September, that's the direction I'm headed[sm=wootwoot.gif]
I'm debating if I should install the factory Harley Davidson emblems on the fuel tank of my bike. I'm 1/2 and 1/2 on the idea. Off they make clean up easier. I also feel that anyone who knows bikes also knows who makes mine. Thoughts?
I voted to leave them off. Mainly if you decided to have some custom paint it would make it easier to do your tank.

I am with ccgobama on this.. it all depends on the emblems on what model if they would come off or not. I do however, greatly favor the SG emblems, as they are keepers, however since you got them off, your bike looks great, very clean. If there was nothing dinged getting them off, enjoy what you got IMO as you look unique and one of kind.
