Default Tank HD Emblems. On or off?

I'm debating if I should install the factory Harley Davidson emblems on the fuel tank of my bike. I'm 1/2 and 1/2 on the idea. Off they make clean up easier. I also feel that anyone who knows bikes also knows who makes mine. Thoughts?

It maybe a personal thing, but I like the factory emblems. I also like the look of the Red and Crome ones that someone else on here has too. I think that they help to brake up the Black a little bit on the Black SG's, as well as on my Black Cherry too.

I would also like to see some photos of the hard bag bars on your SG without the bag in the way too. I would like to see how that are different from the stock bars that just go under the hard bags.

Looks too plain with no emblem.

I went with a retro theme on my bike. Some like it some don't - but I like 'em. H-D offers several retro style emblems check them out. But beware, these things take allot of massaging to make them fit. They come flat but our tanks have NO flat surfaces on them.

I took mine off as well (but that is because I am painting the tank and feel the emblems take away from the paintjob). Plus like you said everyone that knows bikes will know it's a HD.

Some bikes look good with them on (2006streetglide's looks sweet with the retro emblems). I just prefer the sleek look and like you said it makes it way easier to detail.

On a side note-2006streetglide is that an aftermarket headlight ring or did you paint the stocker?

Abnmarine-either way it is your bike and you have to do what keeps that grin on your face. Try riding for awhile w/o them them with them on again and make your decision then. Oh try asking the OL that always helps. Then she knows you value her opinion. BROWNIE POINTS

I was going to say keep them off until I looked at Renegades scoot again, and I have to admit it looks sweet with them on.

They look sharp.
What did you use to attach the emblems, or did they come with an adhesive strip?

I like the decal type better (like whats on the Road Glide) makes cleaning and waxing a lot easer.
