Talking tools

Ok, I would like to say that I have never worked on my hog on an extended road trip but as you all know sh_t happens.... with that in mind, short of carrying a whole tool box, who makes a god after market tool kit that covers all the bases. I have an 06 screamin eagle ultra and bought it used, minus the tool kit, or I wouldn't be asking this question.

Thanks for the help

Skip the pre-made tool kits and make your own. A pre-made kit will never have all the stuff you possibly need....I bought a zippered bag, went over the bike with a wrench/socket/torx, or whatever and made a list of all the possible things I might need to tighten/adjust/or whatever, then went out and bought the tools for the job. My tool kit likely weighs 10+ pounds. However, I have the tools that I need.....BTW, I have used them many times on the road.

I use a zippered bank bag with the usual items. Different things that I carry include electrical tape, zip ties, leather shoe laces, and a piece of tie wire. When things break on the road for me it is usually a matter of keeping it together on the bike till I get back home.

I agree, I bought a zippered bag from Lowes and then picked out the tools I need and just bring it. One thing I do is whenever I work on my bike, I use the tools out of that bag, if I need anything that is not in the the bag then I will evaluate if I need that tool for the road. Great way to verify you have what you need for a given situation.
