What do you guys carry as far as tools? A few of us from the firehouse are taking a road trip in a few weeks and am wondering what kinds tool you all carry?
Obviously a set of sockets, extra fluids, a torx set, allen keys. Anything else?
I carry the hd tool kit as well as a ratchet with a few of the common sockets, and a tire repair kit and pump. I also carry a small multimeter. But in all the trips I have taken the one tool I have really needed was a valve core remover to remove a bad core that was stuck down when adding air.
all jokes aside, I have a small zipper pouch that carries the small HD fold up tool kit along with a small ratchet, an extension, some sockets, spark plug socket, small assortment of allens, etc. never leaves the bike. I rode a chopper for years and kept the same tool kit in a fork pouch, always had to tighten up or fix something.

Screwdrivers(flat and Philips head), pliers, set of spark plugs, knife, VOM, tire pressure guage.
Cruz Tools makes some pretty good tool kits for HD's. I keep one in each of my bikes. Some dealers carry them, as well as online MC parts stores, and Amazon.
I just put some basic stuff. Pliers, tire pressure gauge, screwdriver with multiple bits, zip ties, and a few spare fuses. This is in addition to the supplied HD tool.
Look at Cruz Tools. They have very specific tools for HDs. They range from folding tools, to full kits. I have one of their folding kits and it is rather useful while on the road. And I think they are made in the US (I know for sure it's a US company).
