Has anyone heard of the cee baileys windshields? They are supossed to be a aeronautical grade windshield manufacturer. They offer a recurved one forthe SG and the UC which is supossed to cure the wind buffeting issue. I believe their web site is ceebaileys.com
That's the SSC.
I've had both an SSC and a Klockwerks Flare, both did nothing for me. I'm running an 8" Clearview w/Recurve and it's the best I have had yet.
It took going thru a few windshields to find the right one for me.
I have an '08 Super Glide Custom and the '08 Ultra and i'm telling you, the Super Glide is a smoother ride on the highway in winds. I get hit from all sides on the Ultra.
Go for a ride and at 60mph put your left arm across your chest, like a salute, and see if that fixes the problem. if so, google Jack's Flaps and watch the video, it really does work
I thought I'd heard it all with the heat from the engine "setting my jeans on fire" and "gave me 2nd degree burns", but now a concussion from buffeting.
all this being said. all bikes have buffeting. taller wind shields help but look like $hit. I find that at 70 the wind is not bad I sloutch a little and its gone. at 90 you can't get rid of it. if you hate the wind get in your car and roll up the windows.

Think of how embarrassed I get every time I bring it up.
And think of what I told the doctor when he told me that I should get a different bike...
On my 9th shield at the moment for the record...
If it makes a difference, I've ridden several other glides with variable shield configurations and have never come across another one with anywhere near the buffeting I get on mine. It does tend to make me thing that something's not quite right. But the dealer disagrees.
1. Replace windshield.
2. Lowers 3. That little air damn thingy that is 20 bucks.
Problem solved.
I was going to buy item #3 the other day while at the Harley shop. the parts guy told me not to buy it because they prevent the engine from cooling in hot weather. during cool weather its fine but during the hot days is when you need the air flow the most. he said the item was discontinued as standard issue back in 2002 I believe. Not sure if this is true or not just passing on what I was told at the Harley shop.
I had the Cee Bailey SSC (tried a 10" and a 12") and neither of them really corrected the buffeting...friend had a Klock Werk windscreen that I tried and it worked perfectly.
