I need a ballpark estimate of the cost to paint saddlebgas only.
Just a ballpark - I know there are a lot of factors involved. The reason is that someone locally is selling a set of leather covered saddlebags from an 86 for $500 and if the cost isn't too much more it seems a sweet deal.
There may be something wrong with them since these have been listed for sale before but mine are in rough shape anyway. The 86 bags might mount to my 84
what color? materials ran me 95.00 for 2 1/2 pints of paint for my inner fairing . I had clear and the activator and reducer and primer... Some where there is a thread on inner fairings where I posted prices i got from zanotti for a quart of the base and a quart of the mid coat and they tossed in other prices also for like primer and clear. Mine is a tri coat (brandywine sunglo). Then there is labor if your farming it out
Just the saddle bags and lids could run anywhere from $400-1000 depending on who you get to do it. I just had my bags and fender painted plus some body work done and it ran me $600 but another guy wanted $900 to pain them and no body work so its one of those you need to shop around things.
