Thumbs up Excellent riding boot

I ordered this boot last week and it is great. On top of being a high quality boot they are zippered on the inside so you don't have to unlace and lace everytime you where them!

The first is Danners site and the second is some other retailer where it sells for $10 cheaper.

The bad news is it's made in china, the good news is they made one damn fine boot. Full grain leather, goretex top to bottom, cushioned sole. The non-metallic toe guard is an added benefit!

Bottom line up front, (BLUF) great boot and I'm very satisfied with it as my new riding boot!

I knew you were Army as soon as I saw Bluf Danner does make some good boots. I've got a pair of Gortex than work great.

I have Danner Ft Lewis boots for winter and with my Bates jump boots wearing out these Strykers look the summer ticket. Thanks for the tips, Suede Blue Man.

All the best,

Default Riding Boots

Nothing like a good boot. I used to work for a company that made the Lehigh Valley and Ranger Safety boots. They were great boots, now sold out to whom ever, China probably. I think the closest thing I can get to them is Georgia Boot. I will have to book mark the links in your post. I recently visited Sheplers in Arlington TX. and picked up a pair of Rocky 8" Men's AlphaForce Zipper Boot.. They had my size and were on "clearance" for 49 bucks...... figured I would try them out. To my amazement they are really comfortable, I can stay in them all day, walking around at the rally's and such. I will have to see how long they last, my next pair will probably be the Danner. I have the Harley "reflex" (i think) boot and I wasn't keen on no webbing between the tongue and the upper part of the boot. Comfortable and great in the summer, lets air in, but I am thinking will let alot of water in also if it rains. Plus on the cooler days feet don't stay as warm. The Rockys, right price and they covered the bases for the time being. Thanks for the info and feed back on the Danners.
