Does anybody know the email at Harley where we can protest this kind of action? If HD doesn't want an independent to make the instruction sheets available, the least it could do would be to supply them on the Harley site. I think it would actually help sales, because a lot of people don't want to buy an accessory until they can see how it's installed.
Sorry to tell you all this... But the site that that info was gleaned from is a Private, Password protected.... You have to be authorized by a sponsor to access it site.....
It is called h-dnet....
It is for HD Employees (Sales, Service, Parts, Clothing, F&I, etc.....)
There are many different areas to go to... but the info that came out was from the Service section.....
Hell, I always thought that HH was a Tech or something that did that on the side......
So Bob, are you gonna hook us all up with an account to H-dnet???

But I know that I could get in TROUBLE, or even worse, if I gave out my access code......
Heck, someone might get brave and take a test for me, and would fail it.......
How would that look??????
But, maybe I can get the Instruction sheets on an "As Needed" basis....
Not saying that could or would happen, but if a customer were to lose their original, or the instruction sheet didn't get packed in, well, I think that it could benefit someone to have the proper guidance.....
Dont everyone start hammering me for sheet requests.... That is just wrong to do to such a nice guy like me....
Had to erase my message..thought it was offline due to exceeding their download bandwidth, but just noticed what happened on the site. Good thing I save some of the stuff to my computer.
Pretty crappy that someone can't post info helpful to the people keeping these idiots in business. Just think about how much of a following H-D would get if the dealers provided just 1/10th the service that site did.
