It does all kinda boil down to common courtesy, which, as we have seen here, isn't all that common on the road. Too bad because it goes a long ways towards taking some unnecessary stress out of life.
When you add in all the drivers who are impaired (booze, drugs, cell phones, kids, metally challenged, pissed off at the boss or spouse, etc.)...it almost seem like a miracle that we go out and ride home in one piece. But mostly we do. So, take a deep breath. My free advice (and worth every penny), turn down the ego, relax a little, have some fun.
When I'm riding on the fwy, in the carpool lane and a rider is in front of me, if I want to pass him, I let him know I'm there and wait for him/her to move over and wave me by. At a stop light or stop sign I never pull up next to another bike. All this is bike riding 101. If you don't abide by these rules , you could get effed up quick!!! These are grown folks rules and your *** will catch hell trying to rewrite the rules. In Cali we roll deep!!!

I've seen many a douche bag on a Harley do the same thing...not that I'm defending sport bike riders - but I'm not convinced stupidity is brand-specific.
