Default Cruise control module

So Im trying to buy a cruise control module off ebay since mine took a dump on me. Seems though like every year has a different part number. I cant imagine that the system could change that much year to year. Does anyone know if a module from a 2000 is any different then a 2007? The numbers are different but they look the same, and the way they mount is the same. The one I have found most common is part #7095-98A and its a great deal. Im wondering if it will work. Thanks for the help guys!

I just checked the part # for the one on the bike and its 70955-04. Anyone know what the difference between the two are?

Contact Dave, the owner of cruisemount.com. He probably knows more about HD's cruise control products than anyone outside HD.

Good advice from Harleypingman. I bought one from a different year and the only difference AFAIK was the end on the cable. I made it work with a little fabrication. You may not be that lucky.
