O.K., you know this is a big pain in the a@#!! The inside of my Road Glide fairing always gets dusty and when I ride it makes me feel like I am riding a dirty bike!
So, I pull into my neighbors driveway the other day and he is cleaning his car (most **** guy I know). He looks at my bike and remarks "look at all that dust on your dashboard" (didn't know it was a dashboard!). He goes into his garage and emerges with a small rag.
Before I can utter "if you touch my motorcycle I am going to have to kill you..." he reaches around the windshield and dusts the whole inside of the faring with one pass!!! He had in his hand an absolute miracle product (you can tell I don't do housework!) a small pad called a Swiffer Duster. It was nothing short of a miracle!! I now have a box in the garage and keep one in the glove box in my fairing.
I'm sure this would work on Electra Glides as well, or any other surface you would just like to dust up a little. Best five minutes I've spent in a long time!!
Moral to this story: Do more house work and you'll have a cleaner motorcycle! O.K., honey, I'm coming!!
I'd say the moral to the story is let your **** neighbor clean your bike for you if you don't like to clean it. Just put it out in the sunshine where he can see it, grab a beer and a chair, and make yourself comfortable. Recommended you hand him a beer while he cleans.
