Well, Picked my bike up last night after the install of the HQ-0034 cam. Other than stage1, rinehart exhaust and Power Commander my bike is stock. I never really felt that Stage 1 brought much to the table performance wise, at least not remarkably. After years with a DFO i felt the PC111 was a remarkable improvement in performance. Now, with the addition of the 0034 cam, i can DEFINATELY tell a difference. First of all, the bike sounds different. There certainly is a different exhaust note to it, and "almost" a lope to the motor. Not really, but it reminds me of that. As far as responsiveness, its certainly a stronger feeling motor in the 2500-3000 rmp range. I can easily feel consistent pull up to 4500-5000 rpm at least through 4th gear. at 70 mph on the freeway i can downshift to 4th and the motor still wants to pull. Wasn't much effort to get from 75 or so up to 90 on the freeway. All in all, i like it so far. The cam definately gives you a nice bump in torque, and that certainly translates into a stronger feel. Leave the HP numbers for the drag strip...TORQUE IS WHERE ITS AT! I hope to put some miles on it tonight when i get off work. I want to thank HarleyPingman and PhilM for their insite on this cam, they certainly seem to be the champions of HQ products, and for good reason, their stuff is the real deal.

Got the same thing ...will pick mine up Friday.......After my talk with harleypingman I sold my SE 95" and went with the 0034,Black ops lifters,Adj pushrods and saved about 350.00 to boot ....cant wait to try them out......
I did the HQ500's in my 07 this winter and got the same results, the sound improvment was quite suprising and it realy did improve the overall performance of the bike.
I sure do like those HQ parts.
Glad to hear it worked out well for ya Dave! One day, if ya bump it up to a 95 w/ a little more compression, you'll REALLY be shocked....
Hey Rod... how are ya! I'll be head'n back down your way next weekend to help Spike with his HQ113 assembly. Perhaps you can ride by his place & I can see your latest mods in person...???...
I had the HQ-034Gs, along with the K&N air cleaner & PCIII installed in my '05 EGC (TC 88) last month. Then it was Dyno-tuned. The result was 78hp & 88ft/lbs of torque. Yeah, I'm happy with it.

Granted number are only numbers, but those numbers dont make sense to me. I am going have these cams put in next week. My stock 88 2006 SG has true duals, and stage 1, with Dyno numbers of 80hp/81tq???
