I have an '07 RK Custom and would like to get a larger pulley in the rear for more low end torque. Has anyone messed around with this that could help me out? What size is my stock? Are there bigger ones available? Would I need a new belt?
It might be better to get your hands on a compensating sprocket thats one tooth smaller. There would be no speedo issues and fairly easy to change out.
I would like to go this route also since my adjusters look like their 3/4 way back. The 09's have a 68 vs 66 tooth rear pulley on 07's. Doesn't seem like that would be that much larger in diamenter but not many in stock to measure. Sporster pulleys are 68 tooth also but don't know about the belt.
rmc115 has a friend that is trying it out as we speak so hopefully he will have an answer soon.
The compensator bowl is manufactured into the wheel now, so the pulley will not interchange. Go with a 30T Andrew's trans pulley and 137T inernational belt. Raise RPM's a little above 300 RPM's without sacrificing highway miles. Acceleration is same or better than 09's.

I just looking for a cheaper way, using my belt and not eliminating the compensator or changing trans pulley.

The least expensive way I've found without eliminating the compensator is the Evolution Industries 49 tooth clutch gear. Way less labor and should get you where you want to be.
I read the 68 tooth sportster pully with 00 to 04 year part number will bolt on with no belt change. I have been searching ebay for a 68 pully with no luck I live in Australia so a new pully with postage over is to much money to waste if it dont fit
