Give them a call, in the mean time, ride it, lock the forks if your worried about it. The ignition lock can be busted with a pair of channel locks. If they want it, they are going to get it one way or the other.
I think your bike is safe with the fork lock. Or, at least, just as safe as with both the fork and ignition locked. I would bug them again about the missing key but I would not let it ruin what should be a great experience with your new ride. But that's just me.
I took the bike to the dealer today, and the switch was in. (thanks for calling me...not!)
The switch did not match the fork and bag locks, wrong key number or something. They did install the new ignition lock anyway, so I can lock the ignition too, just have to carry two keys until the new, new, ignition lock comes in.
I was never so much worried about it being stolen, as much as some dillwad turning on the ignition, or worse starting it and walking away, while I am working. I drive a truck three days a week to DC, for twenty four hours at a time..
I do have almost 600 miles on it now,not bad considering I have only gotten to actually ride about 4 days due to rain and schedule. Why does it always rain on my days off?
