No - just stiffer.

Just be careful how you put the air in them. Buy the pump specifically made for them sold by HD at your dealer. If you use a standard air compressor you could damage your shocks.

Ride Safe,

I have 20 lbs in the rear shocks, because the Wheeldock operates better at that pressure. Enjoy your ride I Love Mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm at around 23-25, also originally because of the Wheeldock - Which didn't help, it still doesn't quite touch the ground (bit I digress).

The side-effect was that the ride was great. It's "stiffer" but it's much more reactive in a good way.

Absolutely use you manual...find the correct PSI for your riding style...one up...two up! Adjust accordingly!

If all else fails...always use manual! And when ya get a few bucks...buy the service manual! that is the bible for us!

Good Luck with your new ride! Mike

+1 on the HD suspension hand pump - it's seems expensive, but worth every penny when trying to get the pressure on such a small volume of air just right. You won't regret it.

Not a plug for HD, but make sure to use the correct air pump. If you use a compressor you will blow the seals out.

I saw someone already said this.

I was told by my salesman that I could just use a hand operated air pump, it this not true? He specifically said that he would not waste the money on the pump if you have a hand pump already? I have no problem getting the HD pump but did not think it was needed at the time of purchase. What makes the HD pump better then a regular ole hand pump?
