I am not opposed to going fast (working on acquiring a buddies '86 Porsche 944 Turbo, then putting custom 'zero clearance' turbos in, to push the hp from ~245 up to around 475hp. For a 2700lb car, that will be insanely fast, though not as fast as another friend whose '01 Porsche 996 Turbo is pushing 1000hp. Thank God for all-wheel drive and PSM), but, IMO, the purpose for an Ultra, is to just cruise/tour/enjoy the scenery!

If you want a harley and you want to go fast, a Supercharged V-Rod ought to fit that bill quite nicely (can you say 200hp?? ).

Just a curiosity, nothing more.
Rhetorical question.

If you want a Harley and go fast, just put nitrious on it. No need for a V-Rod.

I suppose that I could ask the same question about the Porsche. The speed limit is the same for both the HD and Porsche. I had a 928 that was fast and could tour the Blue Ridge also. So the reason that I doubled the power of an Ultra would be the same reason that you double the power of a Porsche. It's fun and it's rare.

The bike normally has 170 + HP and 190 + TQ. I advance the cam timing for this dyno shootout in Jan. It lowered the the HP and raised the TQ

Can you say 219 torque?

Here is another reason for the power increase.
