Does the plastic Jiffy stand coasters really work? Do you guys use these, or have to made something yourself? This is my first really heavy bike 09 EGC, and want to make sure these thing work on grass and soft asphalt. Don't want to come back to my bike and find it on it's side because the plastic coaster didn't work.
I think the H/D ones are pretty good. I have a smaller one i picked up at a bike show (free) and i kinda question it but im gonna try it.. I grabbed a piece of clear lexan from where I used to work and cut about a 6 by 6 inch piece and i use that all the time and it works great .. They had just re done the parking lot and it made a good test for it
If it's black top or dirt I always use them.
I got a free one from Progressive Insurance at a bike show.
Walked by the booth three times and picked up several.
Gave them as Christmas gifts <grin>
Mine are aluminum plates, scrap pieces from a project.
Most of the bike's weight is on the tires. The ones I've seen being passed out as freebies work fine.
