As you know, I have my inner fairing off, to replace with the factory painted one. Is it easier to put the guages in BEFORE I install the iner fairing, or AFTER.
They weren't hard to take out while attached, but I thought it might be easier to install on the bench. Perhaps less chance to bump the new paint.
Manual has you put in the small guages in the fairing before installing it. Then installing the speedo & tach after it is in. I did it that way and it was easy and it worked fine.
I found it was easiest to install the two small bottom ones, and that was it. the rest of them are easy once the inner is in place. Less weight to manipulate during the install.
