Get some Goo Gone, squirt it on, wait a few minutes and the stickies will slide right off. Goo Gone is citrus based so it won't hurt the clear-coat or finish. I'm not a rep, just a believer.
I think I will keep mine on and see if keeping it original will increase its resale value in a few years. It should be pretty rare looks like everyone takes theirs off. Wow could you imagine a bone stock 1965 all original dresser. The 09 is the first year for a lot of changes.

Peanut Butter? Every now and then there's something so outrageous it has to be true. I had just removed some old parking stickers that had built up since the mid 80's and couldn't get off the last of the glue with a hair dryer. Didn't want another bottle of something on my bottle shelf. Peanut butter? Have that. And it worked. D_mn - it worked.
Of course, what was in the cupboard was crunchy so I had to put it on a plate and remove the chunks. Like separating seeds.
There are a number of 'adhesive removers' that will remove the glue left behind. Most auto parts stores carry a good selection of these solvents that won't damage the chrome finish. Just a little solvent on a rag and it'll carefully remove the glue.....
