Default BlackCherry, any regrets??

Ok, one more question. The black Cherry is one of the best looking colors HD has. But looks to also be the hardest too keep clean, dust, fingerprints, swirls, etc. Anyone that bought that color wish they had'nt?? Because it was too hard to take care of??

Dust/dirt is not a big deal - use Pledge wipes between waxes - falls right off.

Black Cherry looks great in the sun and all polished up but really drab in the shade or at night - IMHO.

If I had to do it again (that won't happen now), would have gone all black.

Happy with everything else though - 05 Black Cherry Ultra

I have it and yes it is almost as bad as Black when it comes to keeping it clean. But as long as you use good products and only Microfiber towels when detailing you can keep it looking nice. Here's mine:

My R.K. is Black cheery and I love it. It is a little hard to keep clean but worth it in my book. I get alot of compliments on the color everywhere I go, and honestly dont see a ton of other bikes in this color yet, im surprised. When it is clean and in the direct sunlight it is an awesome color, almost changes colors. Really sweet.

Here's the '05 Black Cherry Pearl. Two tone.

Also a nice color.

Black Cherry was my third choice of colors last year when I purchased my RK. I wanted black as my first choice and then black pearl as # 2. My dealer didnt have a FI Road King left in May that was all black...unless I wanted to wait til July. He had a black pearl RK but it was a carb model, which left the 2005 black cherry FI Road king that I now own. The dealer rolled the black cherry bike outside and that's all it took. Regular black does not "pop" like the black cherry or even black pearl in the sunlight. So I decided to go for it and it has really grown on me. I actually find the deep metallic paints hide the fine scratches and or swirl marks better than the regular black paint (my '99 RKC was all black). Like mentioned before...just keep some good microfiber towels and Harley spray cleaner near and you'll be happy with it. Good luck.

I think all dark colors are hard to keep clean. Heck, half the fun is polishing it.

I was all set to purchase Black Pearl, until I saw a Blk Cherry RK in the lot one afternoon.. I don't care how hard it is to keep looking good, the color is awesome and the compliments keep rolling in.
