Tech mounts look nicer, Ram mounts work better. Have several of both.

I also went with a RAM set up, works great for what I need.

I used this Ram Mount on my clutch side Motorcycle Mount for Reservoir Bolts (2 *****) RAM-HB2 worked great for me.

Ram works, doesn't look too bad.

I like to ride around a lot on my RKC without the windshield or GPS. For a clean look and ease of removal I wired a Powerlet + outlet to the handlebar.

A short or tall RAM arm connects the cradle to the ball on the Powerlet. I also got their 6" power cable for my Zumo.

I personally didn't like the looks of the Ram mounts, especially when the GPS is off the bike. I went with Techmount. Very clean look and high quality.

Not a close up, but best pic I have right now....

A vote for the Powerlet...use the Ram arm to attach the Garmin Cradle to the ball.

It'll set you back a 100, but the Kuuryakyn gas tank lid is primo-good quality and looks incredible on my RG.
