2010's
My salesman said they usu show up middle July to end July. He was told it'd be closer to the beginning of August this year.
How soon will the 2010's actually show up at the dealer?
I would guess the price spread between the 09 and 10 won't be that great but the depreciation after one year will be a bit higher for the 09.
If you plan on keeping the bike for awhile and can work some what of a better deal---go with the 09.
It time to ride---got on it ASAP!!

I didnt want this thread to turn into an ABS debate but anyway here goes.
HD ABS is rubbish on some bikes because:
1) The ABS activation threshold is too low. By design the HD ABS system monitors rate of change of wheel rotation and kicks in before the wheel locks. The problem is that the programming is wrong and it kicks in when you are braking moderately, nowhere near lock up, especially on the rear wheel. A small bump in the road is enough to trigger the ABS when braking moderately.
2) When the ABS kicks in it doesnt brake the wheels hard enough. The braking threshold that the ABS maintains is too far from lockup and the braking distances increase markedly. You can stop the bike a lot faster without ABS.
Combine these 2 factors (kicks in easy, doesnt stop right once kicked in) and HD ABS is rubbish.
Note: My bike, Twinriders and quite a few others here in Australia do this. It seems that not everyones bike does. You can try your luck, you might get a good one. The stealers insist this is "normal".

You couldnt resist two insults to me on this same thread could you leo? It seems you have more insults to give than useful information. Havent you ever heard if you cant say something nice then dont say anything at all? Its guys like you who give bikers a bad wrap. I told you I would post what I want. If you chime in and insult me it just makes me wanna do it more.

It's against forum rules to double post yet alone triple post and this isn't the first subject you have done it on. in this thread 2 other forum members chimed in noticing that you already posted the same subject twice before in the last few days and complained. your last sentence states you like insults. 2nd to last states you don't care about forum rules, it's just ignorant to ask the same thing over and over!!
Also, its not a triple post. I asked about 2010's. Not if I paid too much for an 09. ..!.
Most dealers can find the bike you want by making a few calls.Even when the 2010's come out it may be a few months befor you see many to choose from.If I had no motorcycle to ride,I would take the 09.
Its so close to 2010 announcements, I would wait. But of course, I have done the opposite twice. I bought my 06 at the end of the model year right before the 96 and 6 speeds were released and I did it again with my 08 right before the new frames were released. I have 2 regrets, I should have bought the carb in 06 and I should have bought ABS on the 08. When you wait until year end, the deals are better but the choices are fewer.
What is about he '09 model that you now don't like? Is it just the wait or the fact that the '10 models are being released so soon after you pick up the '09?
Just my 2 cents ... but I'd say stick with the '09 color you obviously want and don't second guess yourself.
