Good to hear you are OK and seem to have a good attitude. Seems things are getting dangerous out there...
Last Wednesday I was riding home on the freeway in the inside lane, which is for carpools, though bikes are allowed. Going up a hill and around a tight curve to the left, I barely missed the yoke of a Cal Trans light trailer that had apparently cut loose from the shoulder rolled across 4 lanes and stopped against the center divider wall, with the tow hitch up aroud head height and sticking across the lane. I had about a second to swerve right and miss it.
Then on Saturday, a friend of mine went down on the Hollywood freeway. He is OK, with soem bruises and road rash, but the bike hit the center divider and then fell back and slid. We are still awaiting the prognosis on that.
Again, Thanks a million for the support and words of encouragement. You folks are what make the ridin community something to be proud of...Real people, Livin Real Lives...Enjoying the Ride that Life ribbons us through..Be Safe, Scooter
Well folks, I can say I like the way State Farm Handled the accident, No Prob, issued check for repair ($10,300) Now awaiting parts...They told me that the frame takes 2 weeks min.from Harley...Replacing due to all the Powder scraped off the bottom...Well, its the waiting game now. My shoulder is much better, and I'm ready to ride! Thanks again for all your support..Scooter
Nice to hear when an insirance co. does the policy holder right. I have heard too many nightmares regarding insurance claims on scooter wrecks.
Glad to hear you are recovering quickly!
Now comes the hardest part...waiting!
Good luck and hope you are riding again soon!
Sorry about your accident. Glad it wasn't any worse than it was. Like you, I've been riding for 40+ years and by the grace of God have never been down. Your spill just proves that years in the saddle don't always equate to not having an accident. Hope I can remain accident free and hope you're back up and running soon.
