I have the Tourmaster Intake II mesh jacket. Fits well and has removable padding, qilted liner and water resistance liner.

In my experience, perforated leather jackets do fine in hot weather, but in REALLY hot weather, you'll still suffer wearing one. For HOT weather, a mesh jacket is the only way to go, imo.

I have a armored and perforated leather Screamin' Eagle jacket with lots of vents that I usually wear in the summer and it does a great job. However, when it gets over 80-85 degrees, I switch to my Joe Rocket Phoenix 5.0 mesh jacket. It has a zip-out, waterproof liner for those cool mornings, C.E. rated armor in the shoulders and elbows, and a flexible back pad. It comes in about a half-dozen colors. For under $150, I think it's hard to beat and it will keep you cool in the hottest weather. They don't call this jacket the Phoenix for nothing. Tourmaster, Olympia, and others make similar jackets. Take your pick!

Thumbs up Tourmaster Intake Mesh Jacket

I have one of these and it is a great jacket.
Zip out rain/wind liner with fill sleeve thermo liner.
It cost $150 and has served me well.

I believe it to be well made and looks good after 3 years.

I have riden with it on 30 degree temp with a long sleeve and a short sleeve shirt. I was comfortable.
I would remove the thermo liner first the rain/wind liner next as the day warms up.

The thermo zips to the rain/wind liner and the rain/wind liner zips to the jacket. But personally I never zipped the r/w to the jacket. I just put it on then then mesh.

I wear a mesh jacket all summer because of a few skin cancer burned off on my arms. So I find it comfortable in Arkansas's 98 degree with 100% humidity.

They have the pants that zip into the back of these with the same removeable liner.

If you where closer, I'd made you a good deal on a Large used one.

I had to move up to XL this year <grin>

Also it has reflective strips as seen in this photo <grin> Reminds me of "The Neon Cowboy"

Check this out for hot weather gear. I would suggest getting a light colored jacket and pants for the summer to reflect heat.

I can't say I have a mesh jacket but I can say tourmaster is a good brand. Check out newenough.com for some great deals too.

I'm just a new rider so I haven't ridden in the dead heat of summer yet. I do want protection however cuz I have my arms tattooed and I would be pissed to take a fall in a t-shirt and cheese grate off my tats.
I have a leather riding jacket and a mesh Powersport jacket. both have liners and I use the powersport jacket in the cold cold weather. I love the powersport jacket and on warm days you can unzip the vents. I haven't been uncomfortable yet. you can also remove the sleeves if you so desire to make it a vest type jacket.

I bought a H-D Stock II Mesh Jacket last Fall, for $99 (before they raised the price $25). I also bought the shoulder, elbow and back armor. I've ridden with the jacket 2x so far and can tell ya that it will be a great jacket to have during the Summer months. Protection for the body while keeping air-flow at the max!
