I have a silver Joe Rocket. It has removable armor and the silver reflects some of the heat. It seems cooler than riding in just a T-shirt because I don't get direct sun on my arms.
I have Joe Rocket mesh coat that I use for dual-sport riding on my KLR. Now that I am a dad I feel a new need to ride safely and wore it this week when temperatures hit 90 in Boise. With the liner in it kept me warm in the morning and cool in the afternoon.
Google mesh jackets and you will get a ton of them then seach for closeouts. I found a Joe Rocket mesh with a zipout rain liner last year for under 100 bucks and love it, sorry do not remeber the site but they are out there.
I'm just a new rider so I haven't ridden in the dead heat of summer yet. I do want protection however cuz I have my arms tattooed and I would be pissed to take a fall in a t-shirt and cheese grate off my tats.
I have a leather riding jacket and a mesh Powersport jacket. both have liners and I use the powersport jacket in the cold cold weather. I love the powersport jacket and on warm days you can unzip the vents. I haven't been uncomfortable yet. you can also remove the sleeves if you so desire to make it a vest type jacket.
I have the jacket pictured but I wouldn't call it a mesh. To me, it's a full textile jacket. Maybe just a matter of opinion. Otherwise, I agree it's good in warm and cold weather though I've been known to wear a fleece coat over it since i happened to have one big enough. It's armored in the elbows and shoulders and even has a removable back armor pad. It's comfortable riding a Harley or a sport bike.

I also bought the HD mesh jacket from Zanottis las tyear for less than $100. I love it when the temps get above 80. Me being in the military I have to wear long sleeve shirt or jack all the time. So its nice to wear a short sleeve and the mess jacket and stay cool and make the military happy. I would trust a mess jacket to a shirt anyday in a wreck too.
