ive been at this a couple of years now with my bike so i can share the whole story. i first changed out just the stock speakers with the old style hogtunes ones. they were much better than the stock ones. then i was fortunate enough to be on the initial order for the pods. i hooked them up right away and they definitely add a significant amount of quality sound to the system. finally, a few weeks ago i got the amp, again from hogtunes. now it flat out rocks. very loud, full, good quality sound. its like a concert going down the road, even at 80 mph on the highway. each phase is a quality upgrade, but the three together (speakers, pod, and amp) will blow your socks off, especially for the relative cost.
Mine came in the other day but I've been too busy to install them. I added a chopped tour pak today and now have to add a hidden antenna so I'll wait until it comes in to take the fairing off. Does anyone have any advice about taking the fairing off a RG?

Did you keep the old style hogtunes or upgraded to the new ones? Very noticeable increase with just the tweeter pod? Will I be happy without the amp?
Here is the SIX speaker setup with the Amp fro last year.
2 front fairing, 2 lower fairing and 2 in the rear.
I have not done my EIGHT speaker video yet .... LOL ...

Installed the hogtunes speakers without the amp on my SG. Had it out last week for my first 100 mile cruise here in Wisconsin. Man, what a difference. Love em...
Buddy of mine just done his......pod, speakers and amp.....simply awesome!! it on my "to do" list for sure!
who's got the best deal going??
I bought mine directly from Pez. I have never had any problems with Hogtunes products. It may be a few bucks more, but I know he will back it up 110% if there are problems.
