I am looking to buy a King tour-pak that is from the early 90's I think. I am wondering if anybody knows if the Mutazu wrap around backrest pad will fit it??? I have read that some of you have the Mutazu so I thought someone might be able to help me.
I have both an HD King TP with backrest and a Mutazu with the standard backrest. It's unlikely you can use the Mutazu backrest on the HD without considerable modification to mounting given the different contour of the mounting area of the respective backrests--at least that's my op given after eyeballing both.
Welcome to HDF. Take a few moments to introduce yourself.
Thanks for the reply. That tourpak fell through so we are looking at the Mutazu. Does anybody keep it on all the time. We are wondering if it is strong enough to be my backrest all the time?
Unless you are extraordinarily large and/or exert extreme pressure on the backrest, you will be fine.
I loaned my buddy my Mutazu mounted on an HD solo detachable rack for our trip to Sturgis two years ago; I used my HD King TP mounted on a two-up detachable rack. He really liked to lean back with his feet on highway pegs for the thousands of interstate miles we road and after this nearly 5K miles trip wanted to buy the Mutazu and rack from me. And he's a beefy 5'10"/225 lbs. guy.
So, when do you introduce yourself, and post pics of your bike????
