i put the powercommander pc-v in this week, and with the map that fuelmoto sent, it's running much better and noticebly cooler too. rineharts slip ons and se air cleaner too, but other than that, it runs great. there's an item that you might look into, it does seem to create more airflow over the motor, and it's called a fork air baffle, bolts on to the back of your lower triple tree, and it also helps with wind that shoots up between your forks at the front of the gas tank. seems to help.
Or, stay home with your other toy, well, that won't work, she's hot too.
I'm an ancient oldphart (even another birthday today too) but I'm not dead yet and I was thinking the same thing. With a cutie like her on the pillion your scoot just has to run a bit hot no matter what mods you try .
Oh... back on topic... I'm positive that mine cooled down some with free-flowing muffs (V&H for me), SEAC, and PC III tuner. I also stuck a set of those frame mounted heat-shields on. The RH side one does a decent job redirecting more of the heated air flow downward instead of letting it all just flow back across your lady's right leg.
As others have said, I can easily envision that if more were needed, a set of true dual head pipes will eliminate the cross-over and would surely help more too.
