I picked up a display stand (99002-97A) from a salvage yard in another state. As you might guess there were no install instructions that came with it. I figured I could find some install instructions on the net somewhere but neither Google or a search here could help me. Yeah, I know, I know.
From what I've been able to gather so far the regulator needs to be relocated or something. Not sure that that is yet.
Does someone have a copy of the install instruction for this stand? I'd be happy to pay for postage if a copy could be made. Or if you have a scanner I could get the stand installed today
'05 EGC. I bought a display stand on Ebay with no instructions and had to dig to find 'em. The bottom line was that I had to drive out the regulator bolts. No big deal, unbolt the regulator, screw a nut onto each mounting bolt & rap it quick with a hammer, the bolt will pop out. Install the mounts for the center stand under the regulator using 1/4" longer bolts and tighten. For the side mounting lugs, they mount at the engine guard bolt locations. Use flat washers for spacers until the stand is centered in the frame (use new bolts of appropriate length, and tighten). Find a flat location to park the bike and adjust the center stand's vertical bolts until it takes a little effort to pull the bike onto the display stand. Tighten the lock nuts & you're done. A word of caution, the less effort it takes to set the bike on the stand, the less it takes to get it down. Don't ask me how I know, just adjust your's accordingly.

You did not say what year your bike is. I have an 05 EGC also, and I bought a center stand off ebay and mounted it mid frame in the hour glass frame brace. Used two very large, thick warshers(1/4 thick) with 3/8 bolts. The reason for the large warshers is the holes in the mid frame brace are about 1" dia.
