Just a thought here folks... The bike has SE heads and I will be taking it for a test ride tomorrow before making the final decision. Why would someone take a TC88 and just do the heads, exhaust, AC and map? Typically it's been my experience this is generally done when going to a 95" kit. Also, this bike sounds extremely healthy and reminds me of a friends SE 103 Road King. I mean this bike flat sounds nasty for a TC88 regardless of what has been done to it. The tone is very deep and it reminds me of a cammer motor when it idles. I guess I have a few questions to ask the dealer tomorrow. One of which is who may have done the work on it. Here is another picture. This time of the exhaust side.

I think 16,500 is a little high for a 4 year old bike with 32,000 miles on it. Like some of the other posters have said you can buy a brand new 09 for just a little more. Just my opinion though.

Seems like you really like this bike, but I would buy new or newer with lower mileage. JMO.

Exactly! Why pay near new prices for a bike that old when you can buy it brand new and likely get much better interest rates doing so.

I agree with others on the price . but having had olders cars in the past just to play with I also look at if it was set up as I liked If its has everything you what and is your color and it talks to you go for it you've been foolish with money before and really enjoyed your self but if you are going to change things then walk on by she not the one . Buy new and make her yours , your way Last thought the new one is worth less a min after you sign for it

Very nice looking bike, but not worth 16.5k. See if you can get them to come down on it otherwise I would buy new.

Pick a number, after trade, that you're really satisfied with paying for that particular bike. Take the bike for the test ride, & if you're still satisfied with it make that offer to the dealer. Don't worry how he writes it up as long as the price is what you want to pay after trade. He'll either adjust the price of the bike or your trade allowance. Either way, all you're concerned with is your bottom line cost. Be prepared to thank him for the opportunity to do business & walk out the door without the bike. If your offer is reasonable he won't let you get away.

On another note, either have him install a stabilizer or be prepared to add one yourself. Pre-'09 bikes need 'em. '09 don't.
