I went down to the local Harley dealer in Bowling Green Kentucky today. While there I found out they had a 2005 Road Glide with 32,000 miles on it in stock. The bike is decked out and complete with the tour pack, AM/FM CD, alarm, 2:1 exhaust and it sounds very healthy. The bike is a beautiful pewter gray with the black graphic. They are asking for $237 a month for 72 months. I currently have a 2004 1200R Sportster with a great deal of adds and the 4.5 gallon tank. They are giving me $5,000 in trade. I have always loved the Road Glide and this bike is pristine. So, my question to you folks that do have this bike is how does this sound for a deal and is there anything about the 2005 Road Glide I should be aware of??
'05's are good bikes. There were some issues with valve seals, and you are probably aware of the cam chain tensioner thing. I wouldn't pay much attention to the monthly payment, it's the bottom line that counts. You'll be paying 17K at that monthly payment...how much of that is interest? And 5K seems a little low for the trade in my opinion.
The price for the bike is 16,500, the APR is 10.49. The bike has SE heads, oil cooler and a fancy luggage rack on the tour pack. It comes with the tinted short screen, grips, fancy floor boards and here is a picture of the bike. I guess my insurance will be going up a bunch too right?
