Default Jacking up bagger

i have not had to jack up my street glide while doing maintenance on the bike . I'm concerned about bending the cross member under the bike. Do you have to put the jack rails under the cross member to jack the bike up?

I put my jack rail right in front of the crossmember.

I put one of the jack rails right in the cross member - seems to be the sweet spot for balancing on my SG and my old RK too. I would not worry about bending it.

I agree. The cross member is the sweet spot and that thing is not going to break.

Yup one rail in the crossmember and the other forward and that seems to bring the bike up balanced and stable.

There is no right answer. Where you put the rails is different based on how far apart the rails are on your brand of jack and whether the bike has a trunk on the back or not.
