I got a Brawler seat on my Street Glide and it looks good , but it is not for me. I have a bad back and it's just to hard in my opinion. Im now getting the Signature series solo seat with rider backrest I know it will not look as good , but I want to enjoy my bike not just look at it. The seat will be in Tuesday and I will let you know how the two seats compare. If I can answer anymore questions about the seat let me know.

I got one on the 09. Its comfortable for a few hours max. I like sitting lower and further back but many dont.

If I had my time again I would have gone on a few rides & tried to find someone with the seat so I could test it first. Not saying I regret it, but I think there are better solos out there.

I love the look of it tho. But seats really are for sitting on right??

Ordered it last week & still waiting for it to come in. I'll post some pics when I get it. I haven't ridden with it yet on my RKC but I did have it on my old Dyna. It's a great bar-hopping, blasting-around seat but tends to get uncomfortable after an hour & 1/2 of consistant riding.

I like mine for around town and riding to work. It sits you down and back. Don't think I would use it for a long trip.

Ok, my Brawler seat FINALLY came in today. I installed it right at my dealership, left my stock seat there to pick up another time & rode home with the Brawler seat. I'll post some pics later, but here's my quick review:

Pros:

-Looks KICK AZZ on the bike! Haven't seen another solo seat that fits the natural contour of a bike as cleanly & LOOKS as good as the H-D Brawler
-Sits you down about 2 inches & back 2 inches which to me is a more comfortable riding position than stock
-Very well-made & comes with a leather cleaning kit
-On your first ride with it you'll feel as if your riding on a completely different motorcycle because the seat dimensions are so much more drastically different than stock. Some may consider this a Con but to me, I consider it a Pro because you can change up the feel of your bike & take a brake from "the norm" simply by switching out seats.

Cons:

-The fit is awful. The seat leaves about an inch gap between the top tip of the seat & your instument panel on your tank leaving a small bit of a wiring harness exposed (I'll post a pic later). I've heard this can be corrected though?
-The dimensions of the seat are so much drastically different from your stock seat that your handlebars now feel like they need to be slightly adjusted when the Brawler is installed.
-No cushion-effect whatsoever. If our looking for a comfortable, long-ride solo seat your gonna be dissapointed. This seat is purely a bar-hopper, 1-1.5 hour riding seat at best.
-Not cheap at almost $300 bucks a pop!

sorry dude, I should have mentioned the gap. It takes ages to get the bracket in the right spot so the gap becomes small enough not to **** you off.

Get your dealer to do it right. It is possible to get the gap down to about 1/4 inch with the stock bracket.

I ended up filing mine - took about 1/4 inch off the inside of the bracket and moved it forward so it is snug with the console.

Also, I was pissed that mine came with a crappy ZINC retaining washer. WTF? $300 and you dont even get chrome?

"You can change up the feel of your bike & take a brake from "the norm" simply by switching out seats." Amen to that. Its a totally different machine with the 2 up seat on it.

Cushion effect? With a brawler you need a cast iron *** or a bar within 40 mins.

Thats not a bad thing- we were heading off on a 5 day ride once and I said to my buddy "where is your rain gear?"

His reply - "My rain gear is a bar".

Not sure what I need to do in order to close the gap between the seat & console? Can you post some pics with more specific instructions?
