I found tan spongy disposable ones (Wally World?), which look better when wearing a shorty helmet.

I used to use the disposable ones, but upon returing from an Iron Butt ride my hearing was trashed for two days. got in my truck and turned on the radio and was absolutely certain one or more of the speakers were blown. Boy was I pissed. I was certain one of my boys had used my truck (without permission) while I was gone and had trashed my sound system. but then when my daughter stopped by her voice sounded like she was in a tin can.

who knows what perminent damage was done. I've been using the same pair of custom molded Big Ears for two years and haven't had a problem. I'd pay a hundred buck a set to save my hearing.

after all how many of our parents and grandparents who worked in the mills for years are mostly deaf today and spending really big bucks on hearing aids.

I had a custom set of Big Ears made last year and the next time I see one of their booths I'm going to get a second set made. I LOVE mine for longer trips. I use to ride them around town but lately I have gone to point of using them on longer rides (over 1 hour).

I bought a box of 200 about 3 years ago and only halfway through them. I use ear plugs for every ride except for a ride along the bike.

Disposables. But there are a number of different kinds. I prefer the solid foam vs the sponge type.

I use the disposables, but not the orange ones - they remind me too much of those circus peanut candy. ? I use some 29 db style that are beige and a bit shorter than the usual orange plugs - don't know what brand. I think they came from a drug store.

Dude, go to Wal-Mart, or the local drugstore, and pick up a pair of Mack's silicone ear plugs. Super cheap and they form in the opening of your ear. They don't go into your ear canal like traditional plugs. I use to sleep with these when I worked Graveyard and they are awesome. You can use them for about a week and put a new pair in. I think $4 gets you 6 pair or something like that. Mack's rule and I promise you won't waste your money elsewhere.

I had a set of the big ears molded for me in Sturgis, Best $60 I've ever spent, I use to use the cheap foam ones but with the big ear I don't get the swishing of air in the outer ear, I also use them for shooting. Good investment in my Opionion. Todd

I use Shure ear phones. Blocks out noise and allows you to play your music at a lower level. Can get them at Best Buy.
