Okay, been mulling in my mind about moving the '02 Road King Classic (now with hard bags) out and getting an '09 EG Standard (Denim Black). Trying to work it out in my mind why I should step up to a newer model with a batwing.
Love my Road King; but the 96" and 6 speed are great on the newer models. After seeing a few EGS in blacked out form, I was hit with the buy bug.
My girlfriend thinks I am nuts; maybe I am. Are the dealers willing to move the '09s just yet or am I going to be faced with MSRP? Have never bought a new bike.
I know the answer, but I guess I over-analyze everything too much. RIDE ON....
I don't know what you should do, I'm trying to decide if I should buy new underwear or not, what do you think? decisions decisions try this link, this guy needs help deciding too.. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-i-feeler.html

I was almost let down that douche-baggery was dead, but alas I have been proven wrong...
I guess I should re-phrase my real reason in asking: "For those that have purchased new bikes in the last 30 days or so; are dealers looking to deal more (lower than MSRP), or what have you seen concerning this?"
That denim black standard is the first time I've thought about buying a new bike. It's too cool. I have an 05 Standard and love it. Word is, they won't have the Standard next year, so now may be the time. You'd have a one run color in that model. Wouldn't see as many of them out there. That'd be nice.
I went from 03 RKC that I loved to an 08 Ultra. Im not sure how many times I said it ,but many times I said" If I wanted all that luxury I`d take the car" Now that I have 12000 miles on it ,I still miss the RKC , but I would never trade back. I LOVE IT. It takes a little getting used to have 6 gears but......... I LOVE IT.
