Default Front Brake Leaking?

I noticed on my 08 EGC that the front brake reservoir seems to have some seep marks just under the rubber gasket. It looks consistent all the way around the reservoir Never any drips but a little shine or glistening from something? Is this normal? Everything seems to be tight.

Thanks for any feedback any of you may have.

havent had the bike all that long. I bought it used with 3700 miles on it so I'm not sure how long it has done it. I have noticed it and wipe the residue away. might have to leave it after I ride it to see how bad it will get?.

i had the same issue. i tried tightening the lid, loosening the lid, etc. i finally threw the whole thing in the trash and bought a new takeoff off ebay for $30. no more leaks...i think it was the lid seal but it had leaked for so long the paint was all blistered on the Master Cylinder

Replace the seal. If it's tightened too tight once, it will damage the seal and will leak thereafter.

Default Jay Brake leaking

I installed a new Jay-Six front caliper on my 2008 CVO Dyna yesterday and bled them without a problem. I rode 100 miles on it afterward to start getting them seated nicely on the stock disc with good brake feel by the end of the ride. This morning I found a brake fluid stain (about 4 inch oval) on the ground under my disc. I traced the fluid up the diameter of the disc to the base of the brake caliper where fluid has been transferring from the body of the caliper to brake and then to the ground. The bleeder valve and the banjo bolt are dry. The right side of the brake disc has black streaks but the left side is normal. I wiped everything down and took it out for a 25 mile test ride. The brake lever has to be pumped slightly to return it to the firmness we attained after bleeding yesterday. Also, more fluid has been slung to the frame, engine, paintwork and chrome. After cleaning the bike I've left the bike to sit for a while. When checked again, there is fresh brake fluid on the bottom of the caliper and the brake is weak. I believe there is a piston leaking. What can be done to rectify this problem?

Just had the cover replaced on my 08 under warranty. FWIW, the new part number is a "B" revision for the cover. I made sure I grabbed the "B" since we still have an "A" in stock. I don't know if the revision had something to do with the seepage issues or not, but just in case. Get it replaced as what comes next is the blistering and then it will eat the entire master cylinder if you don't catch it now.
