I know, can't have everything perfect....

I noticed this too after I installed the EZ shift levers. I fixed the problem by buying a couple of 1" chrome spacers and long stainless steel screws that would go through the shift pegs, spacers, and thread into the levers. Problem cured! And it looks like it was made to be that way.

Ditto. Great minds think alike. I had two spacers made and chromed. Works like a champ and looks good too.

One thing I forgot to add, there may be a problem on the 09 models with the EZ Brake hitting the lowers if the vent is in the open position. When I wrote to them they acknowledged they've seen it, but it doesn't seem to happen on all bikes. Prolly how the lowers are mounted. I usually take them off in the summer anyways, so it's no biggie to me, but it may matter to some.

I have an 08 SG with V&H true duals. It looks like I will have to remove the right side exhaust to change the brake pedal. Has anyone actually done this with an 08 with V&H true duals? It's not that big of a deal to remove exhaust, it will take longer to drive to the dealer to get a new gasket than it will to change out the pedal, but I was just wondering for sure. It looks close if the brake lever will come off with the header in place or not.

It's tight with the stock system, not sure about the true duals though.....

Regarding the extended shifter pad, I had to get a cap screw bolt machined down(the head area) so it would fit flush with my shifter pad after I put in a 3/4" spacer. I didn't want a bolt head sticking out of the pad.
