Question for mounting quick detach kit 53303-07
Im thinking about purchasing the quick detach kit which is part # 53303-07, I also have to get part # 70113-08 since I have an 05. I was wanting to install this myself and was wondering how hard it is to install? I can purchase both these parts online right now for about $270 and the local shop wants about $500 installed. How hard is it about how long to install? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Man nothin to it and if you do a search I think pastor john did a full picture write-up on it.....Really not bad and i did mine in a cold garage with nuthin to keep me warm but a 12 pack!!! Soda of corse!! O and a little Jack

Ill do a search and see if I can find the write up. I didnt think there would be a whole lot to it, cant believe dealer wants $200 to install. Thanks

Also Gilbos440rt (HDF Member) makes some TRICK machined mounts to exchange for the HD POS stock plastic/rubber ones!!!! PM him and get the info...I think he also did a write-up on install?? Gilbos(Bobbie) One of the good guys!!!! Good Luck!!! R.W.

This is great information as Ive heard people have to replace the plastic ones later on. Thanks for your help, I definately contact him.
