Docking Install Done!!!!!!
Well............I finished my front and rear quick release docking install today. Took me 3 and 1/2 hours. Had no problem with the right side but the left side holes were not even close to lining up. I did loosen the bottom two bolts the hold the exhaust and the fendar bracket on which helped huge. A big thanks to (I can't remember who) posted step by step instructions. The pics (I printed these off from a couple of different posts) helped but you really need the big blow up (fig. 8) in the instructions to see how everything goes together. Again I could not have doen this without the forum help. Thanks all...... I can tell right now the plastic bushings are not going to last. I can't believe Harley does not fix this. I need to find some metal bushings. I have to also get used to the saddle bags sticking out a little further than usual. Oh well at least it is done. I was dreading this install more than any based on what I had read.
Ask, and you shall recieve...aluminum docking bushings here:

I also just finished the rear docking kit for my ultra today. What a job with all the wiring. How was it to install the front set for a back rest. I'm thinking I need to add this next. Love the way the bike looks without the tour trunk! Did you add a back rest as well?
