I am contemplating replacing the front shocks on my '04 Roadglide. I would like the simplicity of the older style without the "cartridge" in the left shock. This would be for maintenance and ride purposes. Suggestions please?
Just swap in the guts from an earlier leg. While you are at it, you might want to add the air set up from the earlier bikes, even if you choose not to run air....You do not have to...The air set up will allow you to do a fork oil change in about 15 minutes.
You forgot Ohlins, among others, who will be and is offering the same 25 mm R&T cartridges you see winning today. BTW the same benefits translates to street riding as the suspension soaks up the bumps, what good track suspension is suppose to do (full time traction).
