Not sure why the latches would open while riding?? Are you sure that you may not have left the latches un-latched?

Latches are closed good. And they stay closed. Seems the vibration of the bike lets the lid move and the piece under(the piece on the lid) the latch does not stay in line with the latch that you close with your fingers.

I know my latches don't "snap over" tight, and I can't see any way to adjust them, so I just lock it.

Mine haven't let loose yet - but they rattle like a tin can filled with rocks!
Curious to see if there's an adjustment or fix myself?

Dealer suggests to always lock all three packs to avoid opening. A hard bump could jar any of them open. I've never seen a tour-pak open but I've seen hard bags pop open a few times. It won't happen if they're locked.

No problems here but I keep mine locked just for that reason among others.

Sounds like maybe the hinges are be loose or worn. I have one hinge that has a worn pin. I have to make sure I adjust the lid before I latch it. I'll get around to looking at the pin one of these days. lol

Gonna keep this in mind....I find myself reaching back to the saddlebag lids often just to verify they're closed. Most times my tour pak closes and seals good....every once n a while I'll have to 'jimmy it' down.
