This happened near my house recently. I cut and pasted the brief news article. Seems they were probably just having fun but pushed their luck a little too far..
Garner, N.C. A 42-year-old woman died and her 49-year-old husband was uninjured in a motorcycle crash Sunday night after celebrating her birthday at a friend's house.
Speed was a factor in the crash that killed Cheryl Ann Pickron, authorities said. Neither she nor her husband, Michael Gordon Pickron, were wearing a helmet when they crashed at 7712 Trudy Lane, troopers said.
Cheryl Ann Pickron was driving the motorcycle with a suspended license, officials said. She drove off the right side of the road, hit a mailbox and then a culvert, authorities said. She died at the scene
Unlike all of you that have commented and speculated who these people were and what happened, I do and after 15 years, it's time to clear things up. The woman on that bike was my ex wife Cheryl. She cheated on me with this POS Michael Pickron and then left the State of CT with him as they headed for Alabama. He was in a bar in CT where she was bartending when they met. 2 years after they met and were now living in Central Florida, she called me crying and apologizing for what she did, saying she was in therapy for 2 years and nothing was helping her guilt. She begged me to come back to CT so we could talk face to face. I told her no way but that hearing how truly sorry she was, I forgave her. She cried even harder. I wished her well and that was it. She and this scumbag then ended up in NC where she spent what few years of life she would have left. As far as the accident? They were both drunk but HE drove the bike! HE was driving, not her and the reasons were threefold. First, he could get away with it because nobody saw or would testify who was driving. Second, they had kids so nobody wanted the kids to be without both parents as he would have been put away and third, he's too much of a ***** to take responsibility. Cheryl had a young daughter from a guy she met before me in CT. That girl's father is pretty much useless and the loss of her mom is devastating to her to this day. As far as Karma, could be for cheating but honestly, I don't find any comfort in her losing her life. She made amends with me and I forgave her. Once again, she was NOT driving that bike and the only Karma I hope that is coming is to one Michael Pickron.
