That is part of what I have to look at too. My budget doesn't allow for extravagance at this point and what I have seen of the Fullsac it looks to do the job just fine. I certainly couldn't do that and have it look half as nice.

I can't argue that true dual head pipes would be better but if your on a budget like me, the fullsac conversion works just fine. 9 out of 10 Harley owners/riders can't look at it and know the difference.
I too had the True Dual itch a few weeks ago. I was looking into the Fulsac mod and have to say it isn't a bad way to go. I opted to go with V&H Dresser Duals because I wanted it to look clean. Fulsac recommends that you use your stock shields, I wanted new shields especially on the right side to be one full heat shield. Got mine at Denniskirk for $318.00 which includes shipping and tax.
I looked at both the V&H and Bassani and they are both 400 plus bucks. The Torrecycle was 179 and the Fulsac is 169. Looks like there's money being paid for a name.
again, i just ordered the bassani power curves for 380... they gave free shipping on orders over 180 i think
I did the fulsac conversion along time ago and i love it......when my toys money gets bigger i will by the V&H headers but until then i am running the fulsac....Just my .02
I have put the fullsac on my '01 RK and love it. Took a little effort to remove all the pipes, but it went together great and works well. The heat reduction issue is amazing now. Took about 2 hours total to do it and to me, well worth the money!!
I have v&h true duals on my 06sg & now i am putting the fulsackon my 02ultra - with the side car the visual is not that important but the fulsack solves the heat issue & sounds better as well - not to mention but it is also easier on the wallet
