You can lower it 1/2" with progressive 11.5" 440's. I did-I also lowered the front forks 1" with HD springs. It should be noted I have an RK Custom, not an SG, but the suspension setup is the same on both bikes. I don't know anything about the lowering kits.

Well I am only 5'6, and I could use another inch TRUST ME!!! But a 1/2 inch with a little stiffer air ride might work.
FOr the front I am going to need at least an inch in the front as I am installing a 21/18 combo set of wheels and have heard that you will need to lower the front an inch for the height difference.
