First off, I ride a Heritage. So far I've got speakers with 100 amp power for the i-pod. Riding buddies have gone to Ultras, I can't afford one. I want to get a cb radio for the long long trips we tend to go one to yak with them along the way. I don't want one of those J&M cb radios ($519 + shipping is out of my ballpark). I want to hide everything in a large windshield bag. I'm thinking about a regular (mini 3.5" X 5" from Radio Shack) CB radio that will fit in the windshield bag.
I need to find a helmet mike that will work with a 4 pin CB. Where can I get one? Radio shack has one but no wind sock and it does look flimsy.
Does anyone know how to make one? 2 wires at the connector are for in & out from the mike, what are the other 2 wires for? A seperate single wire from the External speaker will work for the ear piece.
I came here thinking that maybe a RK guy has done this already.
