Not sure what went wrong, but I pulled my bike out to wash and wax before I went for a ride now my bike will not START. I had it at the dealer last week to get my cables done and this is the first time I have had it out since bringing it home. I ran the hose over the bike to get the dust off then went over it with a bucket off soap and water. Then I ran the hose over it again to get the soap off and was drying it then went to start it to get the rest off the water then NOTHING. The radio will come on and thats it. I called the dealer and they said they would see if they could get down here today which isn't what I wanted to hear at this point. Maybe I'm asking to much here, but I wanted to here is we will be down and get to the bottom of this so you can ride this weekend. Anyways what could this be a short ? Sorry about any spelling I can't get spell check to work now. DAM DAM DAM when things get ****ty they get ****ty.
Sorry to hear about your troubles.....well understood. Have you taken your right side cover off? you may have gotten some moisture in the ECM connection. You might want to try and dry it out by disconnecting and shake out any moisture then put some dialectric grease in between the connections so it may not happen again....just a thought!!
I doubt it has anything to do with the water. Do you get any power at all from the battery? Does it even try to turn over? Check your battery connections first.
Try the simple things first, like is it in neutral?,etc, sometimes ya just have to sit back relax, think and just maybe something will pop up that your overlooking.
Did you check the fuses? When I had a short on my bike (which can be caused by moisture) everything worked but nothing happened when I hit the starter. I was popping fuses. i would check there before I tried to dig for the ECM.
I know this sounds stupid but did you accident'y hit the kill switch on the bar. I know that has gotten alot of guys cause alot don't use it and don't think about it.

I would check the above out as well. Been there done that, did not like the prize, my was all wet. Worth a shot just to pull the side cover to check it.
