Default Jack clearance

I just bought a jack that is 4.5 inches high. Apparently my Road King sits at about 4 inches (when on side stand). What is the best way to get the jack under the bike?

You could always try and ride one tire up on a 2x6 and see if that would give you the clearance you need?

Do you still have the box? Don't be one jack off.

Bring that thing back. You should get some responses on what the best jack is for your King.

I did the same thing, bought a cheaper jack at Northern Tools but just like yours, too high. I went and got one of those Craftsman yellow jacks that go down real low under the bike. It's not the best, but works real well as long as you RTFM.

Inflate your tires to 100psi....just kidding, My Ultra is lowered 2" front and rear so my jack was a tight fit too....I'd stand on the right side of the bike and stand it up off the kickstand and slide the jack under...tight fit but it does work.

Often a short 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 placed under the jiffy stand will let the bike still stand by itself and upright the bike just enough to slide the jack under it .

+1 Roll the jack from the right side, pull bike up off jiffy, and jack away. My procedure with the Street Glide.

I used to recommend the Sears Yellow Jack, until mine broke last week. I replaced it with a J&S Jack. Wish I had bought this one first. It's very similar to the Pit Bull.

I just push the bike up off the stand, hang on to the bars with one hand and push the jack under the bike with the other. It's a balance act but I have no problem with it, been doing it for years.
